So I’m not the best reader in the world myself, however, there are books I have read which I found to be invaluable in helping me with various things. Some of these are related to fitness and health and some are not. Have a look below and let me know what you think!
Atomic Habits: An Easy & Proven Way to Build Good Habits & Break Bad Ones by James Clear
This book is obviously not a fitness book but is super useful. It helped me improve on things that I knew I needed to but never quite did.
Why We Sleep: Unlocking the Power of Sleep and Dreams by Matthew Walker
Another one not specific to fitness but still important. It can be a little dramatic at times describing the adverse effects of poor sleep, but it does give great insight into the benefits of prioritising good sleep hygeine.
Eat It!: The Most Sustainable Diet and Workout Ever Made: Burn Fat, Get Strong, and Enjoy Your Favorite Foods Guilt Free by Jordan Syatt and Mike Vacanti
These 2 guys are basically my fitness knowledge heroes. They have a no bullshit approach but without the crassness and harshness that some gurus use to sell their wares. Just good honest helpful content.
Some more technical fitness books:
Essentials of Strength Training and Conditioning by Greg Haff and Travis Triplett
Strength Training Anatomy by Frederic Delavier
